How time and time zones work in Calendar Clock
Calendar Clock always uses the system time of the device it is running on. If the app shows the time as 10:00, that means the tablet’s internal clock is set to 10:00. If the displayed time is incorrect, the most common fix is to open the tablet’s system settings and correct the device’s date and time configuration.
How messages handle time zones
Calendar Clock’s messages do not store time zone information. When an Administrator schedules a message for a specific time, that message will appear at that time according to the local time of each device, regardless of where the message was created.
For example, if an Administrator in New York schedules a message to display at 10:00, a tablet in Los Angeles will also show that message at 10:00 local time in Los Angeles, even though this is actually 1:00 PM in New York.
This can look confusing in the Administrator App
Because Calendar Clock does not save the time zone of the tablet or the administrator’s device, the Administrator app may show timing information that appears inconsistent. At 10:00 in New York, the admin interface may indicate that the message is already displaying, even though the tablet in Los Angeles will not show it until 10:00 local time there. Later, at 1:00 PM New York time, the Administrator app may show the message as inactive, even though it is actively displaying on the tablet.
