Transferring data

If you want to switch devices, you can easily transfer all data from the old to the new device via the Administrator App. This article shows you how.

1. Connect to the old device in the Administrator App (using the old ID and password)
2. Connect to the new device in the Administrator App (using the new ID and password)
3. In the Administrator App, go to the new device's page
4. Go to the Preferences -> Synchronize page
5. Then you can choose to transfer only the messages, only the settings, or both. Perform this option only once, otherwise you might accidentally transfer all messages twice.

Permanently synchronize devices

If you want to permanently synchronize the devices instead of transferring the data once, you can do that too. This can be useful if, for example, you want to have one tablet in the living room and one in the bedroom.

In this case, follow the steps above exactly and then in step 5 choose the option "Sync with another device." This ensures that the new device always adopts the settings and messages from the old device. It is even arranged so that if there is an alarm, it goes off on both devices and then if you stop the alarm on one of the devices, the alarm also stops on the other device.
